About PN Labs

Power Design Should Not Start
From Zero Every Time.

PN Labs turns proven power solutions into reusable hardware. We design tested, documented modules so your team spends time on what makes your product unique, not on problems that have already been solved.

Our Story

Two Engineers. One Frustration.
A Company Built to Fix It.

Nick was in a university research lab working on lithium-ion battery instrumentation. His goal was the research, but most of his time went to power circuits, protection hardware, and support systems just to keep the experiments running.

Ethan was the lead electrical engineer at a hardware company, taking products from prototype to mass production. On every project, the same pattern: weeks spent designing circuits that should have already existed.

We met building a fully autonomous sailboat designed to cross the Atlantic Ocean unassisted. Ethan led the electrical systems; Nick led mechanical design. We kept solving the same power problems on that boat, and realized every hardware developer faces the same friction. PN Labs exists to stop that cycle: reusable power building blocks that make reliable behavior the default, so you can focus on building systems, not re-solving fundamentals.

What You Get

You Focus on Your Product.
We Handle the Power Foundation.

Teams come to us when they're tired of spending engineering hours on subsystems that aren't their product. Here's what changes when you stop building power management from scratch.

You Skip the Design Cycle

No schematic, no layout, no component sourcing, no board spin, no qualification testing. A module that took us months to design and validate takes you minutes to integrate. That's weeks back on your schedule for the work that actually differentiates your product.

You Get Proven Hardware

Every module is designed around real failure modes, not feature checklists, and individually QC tested before it ships. Not statistical sampling. That means the unit you receive has already been verified on our bench, so it works the first time on yours.

You Get Real Documentation and Direct Support

Full datasheets, integration guides, and dimensional drawings. The kind of documentation you'd create for your own designs. And when you have a question, you email the engineers who designed the module. Not a ticket system. Not a chatbot.

Who We Work With

Engineers and Teams Who'd Rather
Ship Their Product Than Debug Power.

Our customers come to us when power management is eating their schedule, when cheap modules are failing in the field, or when they need something properly documented and tested. Here's who we build for.

Hardware Startups

The EE spending 40% of their time on circuits that aren't the product. They need power management done in days, not weeks, and documented well enough to go straight into production.

Research & Academic Labs

The grad student who fried a $2,000 sensor because of a voltage spike. They need something that protects their equipment and works the first time, so they can get back to the actual research.

Professional Makers

The robotics builder whose $3 Amazon buck converter died mid-competition. They need modules they can trust with their best build. Tested, documented, and ready when it counts.

Systems Integrators

The contract engineer who needs reliable sourcing across projects and clean documentation for their clients. They need a vendor they can standardize on, with volume pricing and modules that work the same way, every time.

The Team

The Engineers Behind the Modules.

Meet the founders. When you email us with a question, you're talking to the people who designed the hardware.

What We Build

Engineered Power Modules.

Protection, regulation, and battery management. The power foundation every hardware project needs. Designed, tested, and documented so you don't have to start from scratch.

PROTECT overvoltage protection module
